I'm not normally one to do post-christmas shopping (except for getting christmas cards/decor for next year), but I was in dire need of that basic clothing item that is a horror to shop for (bras) and I thought, might as well get something on sale. So today I ventured out, figuring the crowds would be done with shopping. It was nice and quiet and I think I got lucky with the bras - tried on 4 and 3 fit, 2 of which were more than half off. I can never tell with bras how good the fit is until I wear them around for a day- they seem to fit in the shop and then after wearing it for a day it goes in the drawer never to be seen again. We'll see how these ones go - I got lucky last time and am hoping for a repeat.

Have I mentioned that I hate bra shopping?

To celebrate the success in the bra category, I decided to see if I could get a postchristmas miracle in the shoe department. I'm on year 12 of my quest to find stylish, comfortable everyday work shoes. I ended up in Sears - where they have a new outlet/clearance floor (6th floor) where I think everything is 50% off the last ticketed price (and most things have been reduced several times already). I found 2 pairs of cute shoes (probably not everyday shoes, but maybe) for $31 (total, for both). This makes me very happy. Especially since one pair is shiny silver.

Merry postchristmas to all and to all a good afternoon!
