Peter took the day off too and we started our morning in a cafe, which brought up memories of our relaxed life in Poland. It's been almost a year since we got home from our trip. That means we left 2 years ago. I honestly can't believe it's been that long already. Life is zipping by.
Today was about taking Kitty to the vet to get scanned so we can know if her mast cells have made tumors anywhere else in her. Good news: scans are all clear. Bad news: still no good, obvious treatment choices. There are some treatment options, expensive ones, but no way to know ahead of time how her tumor will respond. Also, she's no kitten. So. Overall today was good news, we're trying to focus on that. After we released Kitty and she went to hide under the bed, we walked down to the beach. While all the flowers are blooming here, it has gotten a bit chilly. So winter is fighting spring a bit. The magnolia trees sure think it's spring and they are magnificent - wish I had a photo. Still, feeling lucky that we live in a place were we can sit on the sand on the beach in early March and be comfortable.
It was fantastic to have a day off at random. The trick now is to try to remember to go to the office tomorrow!
